WY: Great Second Amendment Wins in Wyoming!
Summary
In Wyoming's 2026 legislative session, two GOA-backed Second Amendment bills became law: HB0096 lowered the minimum age for concealed carry permits to 18, and HB0098 increased protections against Red Flag Gun Confiscation Orders by criminalizing state and local enforcement. A third bill, an amendment to the Second Amendment Protection Act (SAPA) adding a civil process, was vetoed by Governor Mark Gordon. Additionally, in 2025, Wyoming repealed most remaining gun-free zones, including in schools and government buildings.
