When you visit the Site, our servers and analytics tools may automatically collect:

If you create an account via Google Sign-In to use the Marketplace, we collect:

• Username: A display name you choose for your profile.
• Profile information: Any additional information you voluntarily add to your profile.

2.3 Marketplace Content

When you use the Marketplace, we collect and store:

• Listing content including titles, descriptions, images, pricing, and item details
• Messages exchanged with other users through the platform
• Comments posted on listings
• Saved listings and user preferences
• Listing view counts and interaction data

2.4 AI Chat Interactions

If you use the Ask Cache feature, your questions and the AI-generated responses may be logged for quality improvement. Do not share personal, sensitive, or identifying information in chat interactions.

3. How We Use Information

Information collected is used to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its features
• Authenticate users and manage accounts
• Display marketplace listings and facilitate communication between users
• Enforce our Terms of Service and content policies, including automated compliance filtering
• Analyze usage patterns to improve content and user experience

5. What We Do Not Collect

Cache.Deals does not:

• Process payment or credit card information (all transactions are peer-to-peer between users)
• Collect Social Security numbers, government IDs, or FFL license numbers from users
• Track your physical location beyond what is derivable from IP addresses
• Collect information about your personal firearms ownership, purchases, or legal status
• Build profiles based on which gun law pages you visit

6. Third-Party Services

The Site integrates with third-party services that have their own privacy policies:

• Google (Authentication & YouTube): We use Google Sign-In for account authentication. Video content is embedded from YouTube. When you sign in or view an embedded video, Google may collect data according to the Google Privacy Policy.
• Supabase: User data, listings, and content are stored using Supabase. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel: The Site is hosted on Vercel, which may collect standard server logs. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
• Google Gemini (AI): The Ask Cache and AI listing parsing features use Google's Gemini AI. Queries sent to the AI are processed by Google. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Analytics: We may use analytics tools to understand how visitors interact with the Site. These tools may use cookies and collect anonymized usage data.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

• Authentication: To keep you signed in to your account.
• Preferences: To remember settings such as theme preferences.
• Analytics: To understand how the Site is used and to improve our services.
• Third-party embeds: YouTube and other embedded content may set their own cookies.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain features, particularly authentication.

8. Image Uploads

Images uploaded to marketplace listings are stored in cloud storage and are publicly accessible via URL. Before uploading images, ensure they do not contain sensitive metadata (such as GPS location data) that you do not wish to share. We are not responsible for metadata contained in images you upload. You may remove images by editing or deleting your listing.

9. FFL Directory Data

The FFL Directory contains business information derived from publicly available ATF records and supplemented with data from public sources such as business listings. This data pertains to licensed businesses and not private individuals. If you are an FFL and wish to update or remove your listing, please contact us.

10. Data Retention

We retain data as follows:

• Account data: Retained as long as your account is active. You may request account deletion at any time.
• Marketplace listings: Active listings are retained until removed by the user or by moderation action. Deleted listings are soft-deleted and may be retained for a period for abuse prevention.
• Messages and comments: Retained as long as your account is active.
• Server logs and analytics: Retained for up to 12 months, then deleted or anonymized.
• AI chat logs: Retained for quality improvement purposes and periodically purged.

11. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication (OAuth 2.0), and access controls. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for users who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information or created an account, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

13. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Download your marketplace listings and profile data
