The Franklin Armory Reformation is a novel firearm design approved by the ATF that bypasses NFA tax stamp requirements. It achieves this by utilizing straight-cut rifling, which legally classifies it as neither a rifle nor a shotgun. This allows for a shorter barrel length without being classified as an SBR, offering commercial market access to a more compact firearm. The weapon is slated for release in multiple calibers, including .300 Blackout, .223, and 6.5 Creedmoor.
