The walls feature a 3/4-inch plywood front to catch rounds, backed by 3/4-inch steel. The interior is filled with pebble rock for stability and cushioning, a safer alternative to tire shred which was found to be a fire hazard in previous designs. The walls are tested against .308 and 5.56 rounds.
