Glock is discontinuing all current Gen 3, 4, and 5 non-slimline models by November 30, 2024, replacing them with the 'V Series' (Generation 5.5) starting December 1, 2024. This change is driven by lawsuits alleging 'readily convertible' machine gun capabilities. The V Series features redesigned trigger bars and internal slide modifications to deter conversion, while maintaining frame compatibility for holsters and sights. New models include standard G17, G19, G19X, G45, G26, MOS variants for G20, G21, G23, and distributor exclusives like the G19C V.
