The U.S. Department of Justice, in conjunction with the U.S. Navy, seized two ships carrying a significant cache of weapons. The seizure was a result of enforcing the embargo against Iran. The cargo included 700,000 rounds of ammunition, 9,000 AK-style rifles, 352 machine guns, and anti-tank missiles, all reportedly manufactured in Russia, China, or Iran and destined for "freedom fighters" in Yemen.
