Demolition Ranch's Matt Carriker tests the ballistic resistance of various kitchen utensils against a .22 LR bullet. While thin spoons fail, thicker spoons and serving utensils can stop the round. A Farberware cleaver shatters but stops the bullet, and a Lodge cast iron skillet stops .22 LR rounds in the center but breaks near the edge. An extreme test with a Barrett .50 BMG shows the skillet's limitations against high-powered calibers.
