The Savage MSR 15 Recon offers excellent value, achieving sub-MOA accuracy with heavier 77gr loads due to its 5R rifling and 1:8 twist. While the Patrol model showed accuracy issues, the Recon's free-float rail, upgraded trigger, and Melonite finish justify its higher MSRP. Reliability was 100% with an M16-style BCG.
