This video compares the terminal ballistics of the 357 Sig and 357 Magnum cartridges fired from short-barreled handguns using ballistic gel-filled chickens. The 357 Sig, loaded with a 124-grain Underwood jacketed hollow point, was tested against a 125-grain Hornady XTP handload. The 357 Magnum, also with a 125-grain XTP, was tested from a revolver. While both cartridges demonstrated significant damage, the 357 Magnum generally penetrated deeper into the ballistic gel.
