The Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC), founded by John Lott, published research on transgender representation in active shooting attacks from 2018 through 2024. The study found that in 2024, transgender individuals were 12 times more likely to commit an active shooting attack than the general population, with most active shooters in this category being under 30 years old. The research also highlighted significantly higher rates of suicidal thoughts and attempts within the transgender community.
