Summary

Rheinmetall's SSW40 is a new magazine-fed, shoulder-fired 40 mm grenade launcher designed to offer increased firepower. It is chambered for both 40 mm LV and MV ammunition, is self-loading, and incorporates a self-regulating recoil system to manage the impulse of MV rounds. The SSW40 is capable of engaging targets up to 900 meters with MV rounds and can be paired with fire control systems for airburst functionality.
