SAF FILES LAWSUIT CHALLENGING CONTRA COSTA COUNTY’S CARRY BANS
Summary
The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) has filed a federal lawsuit in California challenging Contra Costa County's Sheriff's Office policies. The lawsuit, Second Amendment Foundation v. Contra Costa County, targets restrictions that prohibit permit holders from carrying handguns with red dot sights or flashlights, and bans on single-action-only 1911- and 2011-style pistols, alleging violations of the Second and Fourteenth Amendments under Bruen and Heller.
