Wheelgun Wednesday: The ARWEN Is A Cold War Design That Won't Quit
Summary
The ARWEN (Anti Riot Weapon ENfield) launcher, a less-lethal anti-riot device designed in the late 1970s in Great Britain, remains in production and front-line use by law enforcement worldwide. Originally developed by the Royal Small Arms Factory Enfield to fire 37mm projectiles from a 5-round rotary magazine, its manufacturing rights transferred to Canada in 2001 and it is now built by DEFSEC Technologies.
