The DARPA XM3 was a limited-run sniper rifle developed for early GWOT needs, addressing shortcomings of the M40A3 with a lighter, suppressed system based on the Remington 700. Only 52 were made, later auctioned by the CMP. Type-A Rifles has recreated a 'restomod' version, offering a high-performance homage with modern components while retaining the original aesthetic and capability.
