This ballistic gel test compares Super Vel 9mm +P 115-grain Jacketed Hollow Point (JHP) and Solid Copper Hollow Point (SCHP) ammunition. While both rounds expanded well, the SCHP demonstrated superior penetration and a more consistent wound channel. The JHP achieved 10.25-10.375 inches of penetration, while the SCHP reached 13 inches. Both projectiles expanded significantly, with the JHP measuring 5/8 inch and the SCHP measuring 3/4 inch in diameter.
