This video tests the ballistic penetration of wet versus dry foam books using a 9mm Glock 19. The dry foam books stopped the bullet after 10 units and one thicker unit, while the wet foam books allowed the bullet to penetrate through 10 units and into the third thicker unit. The results suggest that soaking the media made it less effective at stopping the projectile.
