This video demonstrates the ballistic performance of a Vietnam-era fragmentation groin protector against two types of ammunition: a 12-gauge flechette round and an armor-piercing (AP) round with a tungsten carbide penetrator. The groin protector showed some resistance to the flechettes, with most penetrating but not causing significant internal damage. However, it was completely defeated by the AP round.
