Designed as a lighter option for mountainous terrain, it features an aluminum receiver, a Proof Research carbon-wrapped stainless-steel barrel, and a 20 m.o.a. Picatinny rail. The rifle is chambered in popular calibers like .308 Win., .30-'06 Sprg., and .300 Win. Mag., with barrel lengths of 22" or 24". It utilizes a detachable four-round magazine, Savage's familiar straight-pull bolt design, an ambidextrous bolt handle, a tang safety, and an adjustable AccuTrigger. The AccuStock with AccuFit technology provides adjustability for length-of-pull and comb height, and features checkered texturing and sling swivel studs. The muzzle is threaded for suppressors and includes a muzzle brake.
