This review tests the Two Rivers Arms reproduction of the Iraqi Tabuk Sniper rifle, a long-barreled AK variant. Practical accuracy was assessed out to 800 yards, revealing limitations of the 7.62x39mm cartridge at longer ranges, exacerbated by a malfunctioning LPS scope. Despite challenges, the rifle demonstrated capability beyond its intended DMR role.
Two Rivers Arms specializes in historically accurate reproductions of firearms veterans cannot bring home, like the Iraqi Tabuk. Founder Steve Russell, a retired Lt. Col., aims to honor veterans by recreating these pieces with extreme attention to detail and quality, using demilled parts for reference. The company offers variants including the Tabuk Sniper, which features a 20-inch barrel and is accurate beyond 600 yards.
