The Heizer PAK1, or Pocket AK-1, is a single-shot 7.62x39mm derringer that suffers from severe reliability and safety issues. Testing revealed frequent light strikes, difficult extraction requiring a hammer, and dangerously excessive headspace straight from the factory. Its short, ported barrel drastically reduces muzzle energy, making it impractical and potentially unsafe for self-defense.
