The Beretta SCS-70 is a specialized carbine variant of the AR-70, developed for Italian Special Forces and featuring a short 12.7-inch barrel and folding stock. It shares some design elements with the M16, including a safety selector quirk. The SCS-70 served until 1990, when it was replaced by the AR-70/90 series.
