The vz.68 and Skorpion 9x19 represent a significant evolution of the Skorpion lineage, adapting the compact design for the 9x19mm Parabellum cartridge. Engineering challenges included a lengthened receiver and doubled bolt mass for increased pressure. Despite modernization efforts, complexity and cost limited production to around 85 units before CZ moved to the Scorpion EVO 3.
