The Steyr AUG HBAR is a modular light machine gun platform capable of rapid barrel and magazine changes for fire support roles. It features a cold hammer-forged barrel, a progressive trigger for semi and full-auto fire, and a short-stroke gas piston system for reliability. Despite its LMG designation, the HBAR demonstrated impressive accuracy, achieving near-MOA at 100 meters and consistent hits at 600 meters.
