A 70 lb compound bow was tested against a solid wood door and a steel exterior door. A field tip arrow failed to penetrate the wood door completely but fully penetrated the steel door. A broadhead arrow also failed to penetrate the wood door, bouncing off, but passed cleanly through the steel door.
