The WWII German G43 rifle was tested in a run and gun drill with 8mm ammunition. The rifle demonstrated good accuracy, hitting 25 out of 30 shots at 60-70 yards. While pleasant to shoot, the stripper clip reloading process was noted as cumbersome compared to modern systems.
