US Army Gets $3.1 Billion Boost In Ammo Production! Where'd All The Ammo Go?
The US Army received a $3.1 billion boost in ammunition production, primarily to support Ukraine with 155mm shells. This funding also aims to replenish US Army reserves depleted by aid to Ukraine and to upgrade facilities at the Lake City Ammunition Plant in Independence, Missouri. The plant is increasing production of small arms ammunition, including 9mm NATO, 5.56 NATO, 7.62 NATO, and 50 BMG, to support new weapon systems.
