Carcano M41 Run and Gun
The Carcano M41, a World War II Italian rifle chambered in 6.5mm, was tested in a run and gun drill. Despite hitting 22 out of 24 shots, the rifle's performance was hampered by poor ergonomics, a mediocre trigger, and difficult bolt operation, described as 'dragging a piano through sand'. The scarcity and cost of 6.5mm Carcano ammunition further limit its modern utility.
