FN FAL Para to 500yds: Practical Accuracy (Iron Sights, South African)
This review tests the practical accuracy of a South African FN FAL Paratrooper (R1 variant) with iron sights out to 500 yards. Despite limitations in sight adjustment (150m/250m), the rifle demonstrated effective engagement up to 300 yards. Challenges arose beyond this, with the front sight post obscuring targets at 350 yards and requiring reference points for longer distances. A failure to eject was noted, attributed to the gas system being too tight for the surplus ammunition.
