Roper Revolving Shotgun (now with dummy cartridges!)
The Roper Revolving Shotgun, invented by Sylvester Roper in 1866, featured a unique four-round rotating magazine and an open-bolt, manually operated action. It utilized reusable steel cases, a precursor to modern metallic cartridges, loaded with percussion caps, powder, and shot. The demonstration highlights its manual cocking mechanism that chambers a round and extracts spent cases back into the magazine tray.
