Smith & Wesson 76: American's Vietnam 9mm SMG
The Smith & Wesson Model 76 is a 9mm SMG developed as a domestic alternative to the Swedish K for US forces in Vietnam. While often overshadowed by its Swedish predecessor and later clones, the original S&W 76 is a well-built firearm featuring a simple blowback action, a 36-round magazine, and a folding stock. Its design incorporates features like internal debris clearance grooves and an ambidextrous selector, distinguishing it from the M45.
