Soviet PSM Pistol History: Really a KGB Assassination Gun?
The Soviet PSM pistol, developed in the early 1970s, was intended as a compact, concealable sidearm for high-ranking officers, not primarily an assassination tool. It utilizes a unique 5.45x18mm bottlenecked cartridge, ballistically similar to .22 LR, and is notably thin for concealed carry. Its rarity in the US is due to import restrictions.
