Air Force Welcomes Back the Sig Sauer M18 Service Pistol
The US Air Force is returning the Sig Sauer M18 service pistol to duty after a pause due to an incident involving an uncommanded discharge. While the investigation cleared the M18 of uncommanded discharges without trigger pulls, inspections revealed component wear in 191 out of 125,000 pistols, primarily affecting safety levers, striker assemblies, and sears. Owners of M18, M17, or P320 firearms are advised to consider having their weapons inspected by Sig Sauer.
