Firearms Training Drill : Stop Flinching Your Pistol when Shooting
Firearms instructor John G. Johnson introduces the 'Flinch Master 2000' drill designed to combat pistol flinching. This drill utilizes a mix of live and dummy rounds in magazines, forcing the shooter to react to the 'click' of a dummy round by racking the slide without anticipating recoil. The goal is to maintain a stable sight picture and trigger press, thereby reducing shots impacting low due to anticipation. The drill can be adapted for both semi-automatic pistols and revolvers.
