MOTION FILED IN THIRD SAF-SUPPORTED NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT LAWSUIT
Summary
The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) and its partners have filed a motion for summary judgment in `Roberts v. ATF`, one of three lawsuits challenging the constitutionality of the National Firearms Act's (NFA) registration requirements for short-barreled firearms and silencers. This challenge, filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky, argues that the elimination of the NFA's $200 tax by the `One Big Beautiful Bill Act` removes Congress's constitutional authority for the registration scheme.
