The CheyTac M200 Intervention is a bolt-action, magazine-fed precision rifle manufactured by EDM Arms, designed for extreme distances. It features a distinctive futuristic design and a large carry handle. Standard loadings utilize a 419-grain bullet at velocities between 2,850 and 2,900 feet per second, contributing to its legitimate accuracy.
This destructive test evaluates the bullet resistance of a standard Pepsi vending machine against various calibers. Surprisingly, even high-powered rounds like the 5.56x45mm from an M16, 7.62x39mm from an AK, and .338 Lapua Magnum from an AWM failed to penetrate the rear panel. The .408 CheyTac from a CheyTac M200 Intervention was the first to show significant deformation and some penetration, while the .50 BMG, despite its power, did not outperform the .408 in terms of visible rear-panel damage.
This video tests the ballistic resistance of a vending machine against various firearms, culminating in an M67 grenade detonation. While smaller calibers like .50 AE, 5.56mm, and 7.62x39mm failed to penetrate, the .408 CheyTac round successfully exited the machine. The Barrett M82, surprisingly, caused significant damage but didn't consistently exit. The grenade test resulted in complete destruction.
