This video introduces the QDM (Quick Detach Mount) system designed for single-device users, such as those with a thermal optic. It allows for quick detachment of a thermal or night vision device from a rifle and mounting it to a helmet, or vice-versa. The QDM also enables the device to be stowed closer to the helmet when flipped up, improving balance and reducing perceived weight.
