This video tests the bullet resistance of WWI/WWII era Mk 2 'pineapple' and Korean/Vietnam era M26 'lemon' grenades. While .22 LR and 9mm FMJ rounds caused superficial damage or minor penetration, a high-powered 7.62x54R rifle round completely destroyed the grenade. Shotgun birdshot also failed to penetrate, but 00 buckshot successfully breached and detonated the ordnance, debunking the myth of 'skeet shooting' grenades.
