The Modello 1928 Tromboncino was an Italian rifle-mounted grenade launcher based on the Carcano 91/28 TS rifle. It featured a unique shared bolt system between the rifle and launcher to save weight and prevent accidental firing. Though innovative, its limited grenade effectiveness led to obsolescence by 1934, replaced by the Brixia Model 35. These launchers are exceptionally rare, with few known examples in the US.
