This video demonstrates the performance of 5.56 frangible ammunition against a fire extinguisher. The 40-grain Maximum Defense frangible projectile was fired from a 14.5-inch barreled AR-15 at approximately 3200 feet per second. The test confirmed that the frangible round disintegrated upon impact with the hardened target, dumping its energy without penetrating the far side of the extinguisher.
