This video tests the stopping power of various rifle calibers against a 200 lb rubber Atlas stone. Smaller calibers like 5.56 and 7.62x39 only caused surface marks. Even .308 and .30-06 failed to penetrate. The .416 Rigby successfully penetrated the stone, while the .458 Lott was stopped by the internal iron core. The .50 BMG also penetrated, with its second shot being stopped by the core.
