Steyr M9
The Steyr M9, introduced in 1999, is a 9mm striker-fired pistol designed by Wilhelm Bubits and Friedrich Aigner, featuring a Browning-style lockup and a focus on ergonomics with a low bore axis. It incorporates unique triangular front and trapezoidal rear sights for quick alignment and a distinctive trigger guard-mounted manual safety. Despite its advanced design, including a robust sear mechanism for drop safety, it saw limited adoption compared to competitors like Glock.
