US Military Spends $18 Billion On 85+ Year Ammo Storage!
The US military is investing $18 billion to upgrade ammunition storage facilities, aiming to increase the longevity of both small arms and large munitions. Research indicates that proper storage can extend ammunition lifespan up to 100 years, with the new facilities designed to ensure functionality for at least 85 years. This initiative addresses depleted stockpiles, partly due to aid to Ukraine, and aims to prevent the use of degraded ammunition.
