MP5/10: FBI's super-charged submachine gun, with firearms expert Jonathan Ferguson
The Heckler & Koch MP5/10, developed for the FBI's HRT in 1991, is a 10mm Auto variant of the iconic MP5 submachine gun. It features a larger receiver, a paddle-style magazine release, and a crucial bolt hold-open device requested by the FBI for faster reloads. While offering greater stopping power than 9mm, the 10mm caliber's adoption by the FBI was short-lived, eventually leading to the .40 S&W.
