Ruger Precision® Rifle Safety Bulletin
This safety bulletin from Ruger addresses a potential issue with certain Ruger Precision Rifles involving the aluminum bolt shroud and cocking piece. Mark Gurney, Director of Product Management, explains that interference can lead to light primer strikes or, in rare cases, unintended firing when the bolt is lifted. Affected models and serial number ranges are provided, along with instructions on how to verify and obtain a free replacement part from Ruger. Standard firearm safety protocols are reinforced.
