The FBI's Glock 19M
The Glock 19M, adopted by the FBI in 2016, set the standard for the Gen 5 series. It features a 4-inch barrel, no finger grooves, an ambidextrous slide stop, and a beveled muzzle. The FBI transitioned to 9mm from .40 S&W based on ballistic and economic analysis. Ameriglo HD sights with an orange front ring are standard, though some users, like Kaya, found hand-pinching issues during reloads, leading to a preference for the larger 17M.
