This video tests the destructive power of .50 BMG ammunition against a 40lb John Deere tractor counterweight. While standard FMJ rounds only dented the cast iron, Armor Piercing (AP) and Armor Piercing Incendiary (API) rounds achieved significant penetration. The Raufoss Mk 211 round, despite its cost and explosive impact, showed less penetration than dedicated AP rounds. Repeated AP fire eventually shattered the target, demonstrating the .50 BMG's capability against hardened steel.
