I Only Have an Illinois Firearms Owners Identification Card. Can I Carry NOW?!
Instructor Mike clarifies the distinct purposes of an Illinois Firearm Owner's Identification (FOID) card and a Concealed Carry License (CCL). The FOID card permits the purchase and possession of firearms and ammunition on one's own property or with explicit permission on another's property. It does not authorize carrying firearms in public. The CCL, conversely, allows for carrying a firearm on one's person in a concealed manner in legally authorized public spaces.
