Rim Sorting 22LR Does it Work?
This video investigates whether sorting .22 Long Rifle ammunition by rim thickness improves accuracy. The experiment used bulk Federal Champion .22LR ammunition and a Neil Jones accuracy gauge to measure rim thickness. After testing, the results showed no significant difference in group size (both averaging 1.27 MOA) between sorted and unsorted ammunition when fired from a CZ 457 rifle at 100 yards. The conclusion suggests that rim thickness sorting may not yield measurable accuracy gains with this specific ammunition and rifle setup.
