Beretta's First Polymer Handgun: The 9000S
Beretta's 9000S, their first polymer handgun from 2000, featured a unique 'Y2K' aesthetic and a modified Browning locking system with horizontal tabs. Despite its subcompact size, it's notably thick with a deep grip, making ergonomics challenging. It offered 12 rounds of 9mm or 10 of .40 S&W and had a frame-mounted safety/decocker, but its controls and trigger were criticized.
