FN 17S: Anatomy of a Kick Ass Battle Rifle [Full Review]
The FN 17S (SCAR-H) is a lightweight, 7.62x51mm battle rifle praised for its military-grade quality and exceptional accuracy, achieving sub-MOA with match ammo. Despite its light 8lb weight for its caliber, it features a thin, cold hammer-forged barrel prone to heating and an 'atrocious' stock trigger, though aftermarket upgrades like Geissele significantly improve it. Its ambidextrous controls are a plus, but the reciprocating charging handle is a drawback. Recommended for specific POU like CQB or competition, it's considered expensive for general use.
